The Evenhill Hotel - Canterbury

the location was brilliant, for example, howletts wild animal park was within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Well priced small hotel. Airy room with all the usual facilities, free WiFi, all the basics and stunning breakfast to start the day. Stunning and peaceful location to Saint Andrew's Church.

We had a great stay at the hotel , we had some friends come from canada and wanted to show them canterbury, great price close to canterbury , food was excellent as was the service . Would highly recommend....  

We had a pleasant stay, it was a Monday night and still had a good choice of food in the bar and the restaurant. Breakfast was good as well. Room was nice.

The duvet on the bed was too thick and was very hot.

I requested that a flower arrangement together with a birthday card and a bottle of Scotch be laid out to welcome my wife, this was done to perfection.The flowers are still going strong.

Foods at the restaurant was so delicious.

We were not able to have our breakfast because we left the hotel at 7 am on Saturday. We think the hotel could provide us with some bread and soft drinks.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and good food was served on the evening.Breakfast was excellent.

E#veryrhing was great at this place; a wonderfull room in the separate building behind the pub (very quiet), a good location close to Canteburry and Dover (ferry), a cosy pub and good food! And...petfriendly, so our dog...  

The staff serving in the restaurant were very pleasant and efficient, the food was good.

English Breakfast was fine but there just was not enough,i do not eat eggs and I expected extra bacon etc to make up for it,that was not the case,shame.

The lack of fruit at breakfast - that is prepared fruit have in a dish and food brought before finished 1st course, Evening meals were very good but the organisation not good when the chefs under pressure - long wait when order not kept in sequence of ordering -- several people had the same ploblem..

We had a blast exploring the South Downs, hitting up some amazing golf courses like Boughton and Etchin Hill. Our stay was comfy with clean rooms and friendly staff who took great care of us. It's also a quick walk...  

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Charming restaurant and pub. Easy drive out of the center of Canterbury and away from the crowds. Rooms well equipped w coffee/tea, iron, blow dryer, etc.

Rooms definitely need updating. Mattress felt rather lumpy & old. Dinner service in restaurant was a bit lacking, but food was tasty.

It's convenience to Howlett's Zoo and ability to have a pub meal and drink without the need to drive.

Tea at breakfast was provided by means of a flask of hot water and tea bags. This really is a let down and not the way to make tea - it should be in tea pots!!
